The Cabin
At a Glance
We are a log cabin, vacation rental, located in historic Lakemont, in Rabun County, Georgia. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, we are in private and secluded location, yet near activities for everyone! Only a two-hour drive from the Atlanta airport, six miles away from Tallulah Falls, and nine miles away from charming downtown Clayton!
We have four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a hot tub, unobstructed year-round mountain views, a game room, two fireplaces (wood provided), a gas grill, a firepit, and outdoor games! We accommodate up to eight guests and three dogs, we have parking for up to four vehicles and our driveway is paved! Accessible without 4x4!
Rooms
The Brown Bear Cabin sleeps up to 8:
- The Tallulah Room is the main bedroom on the top floor, with a queen size bed (with a memory foam mattress), direct access to the top deck and an en suite bathroom.
- The Blackrock Room has a queen size bed, direct access to the top deck and a Jack and Jill bathroom.
- The Chattooga Room has a trundle bed (two twin size beds) and access to a Jack and Jill bathroom.
- The Screamer Room has a king size bed and an antique desk, located in the bottom level with direct access to a bathroom and entertainment area.
All the rooms are named after iconic landmarks in Rabun County: Tallulah Gorge State Park, Black Rock Mountain, Chattooga River, and Screamer Mountain.

The Brown Bear Cabin is cozy, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and full of amenities:
- Lower deck: hot tub, woods/ partial mountain views, porch swing, balcony bar top, Bluetooth speaker, comfortable seating.
- Top deck: unobstructed, year-round mountain views, gas firepit, gas grill, balcony bar top, Bluetooth speaker, comfortable seating.
- Wood burning fireplace.
- Fully equipped kitchen with Keurig and drip coffee makers/ small coffee grinder, Crock-Pot, griddle, toaster oven, Insta Pot, roasting pan.
- Living area on the top floor with flat screen TV, DVD player, DVD library.
- Bottom floor entertainment area: flat screen TV, DVD player, electric fireplace, karaoke machine, acoustic guitars, mini fridge, minibar, coffee bar with Keurig coffee maker.
- Game room: air hockey, dart board, board games, arcade machine with classic games.
- Direct TV and free Wi-Fi.
- Washer and dryer.
- Irons and ironing boards (one on each level).
- White noise (sound) machines in each bedroom.
- USB-equipped lamps and/or charging stations.
- Baby gate.
- Folding laptop table and folding table.
